My Reasons to LOVE Summers .....
Being in Chennai,India with temperature hitting 37 degree Celsius ,one can have umpteen number of reasons to hate summers and
love rains or other seasons. Even I have my own reasons to hate summers. But
here in this post, I am writing my reasons to love summers (being positive with
what you have mentality: P)
I would like to list out the reasons though it may sound silly,
but real ones and I hope everyone could relate to this.
Exercising:
No!! Don’t judge, let me complete. I am one such lazy cozy
person who would roll up and sleep under blanket for hours together in winters,
So I even wont imagine of hitting gym, going for a walk or even doing some HIET
exercises at home during winters, particularly mornings.
But in Summers, we have the advantage of early sunrise here
in Chennai (may be in India as well) and that serves as a boost to at least try
to go for a short walk or stretch out at home.
Yes, I feel brisk during summers, so at least I would make some
effort in doing some Physical activity.
Though might be silly, sudden sweating (which never happens
for me in winters) in summer just after one round of exercise would give an
immense satisfaction that I have burnt around hundreds of calories and that
keeps me going and gives a push to exercise further and cut down all the
calories from my Biryani which I had in my previous meal.
Diet:
Apart from Exercises, I could easily go on for intermittent
fasting/dieting on summers as I only feel thirsty much rather than craving for
hot food. So I definitely make the best use by eating fruits and drinking
juices and cutting down the hot steaming snacks. (Writing this as I control my salivation:
P).
We would be getting watermelon, cucumber and other such
seasonal fruits in abundance which are very much a healthy option and bonus is
that it is low in calories.
Being said, not that I eat healthy or doesn’t crave for junk
in Summers, but craving for hot, spicy foods may be lesser rather than winter evenings.
I really feel only thirsty very much even end up drinking gallons of buttermilk
or coconut water and skip solid food.
Skincare:
I Personally feel Summers are the best time to pamper my Skin.
I would try out all the face packs I have in an effort to empty all those and
buy new stuffs because I get bored with beauty products easily.
Not just with that intention of emptying it, but there are
many other advantages like the packs dry very easily and I am very much in love
with water during summers hence I don’t mind washing my face multiple times,
every time after cleansing, scrubbing, masking.
Hair Care:
I am one such person who generally gets head cold easily
even with application of curd even for ten minutes particularly in winters and
would end up in getting cold & flu.
So Obviously Summers are the best time in the year to pamper
my hair with my home made hair masks.
Also possessing a Curly hair which takes hours to dry would dry super fast in summers comparatively.

Other random reasons:
- During my school days, I love summers for my annual vacation. (every child does). Wish I had something like that now as well.
- Apart from all those health and beauty conscious reasons to love summers , I love summers for Mangoes ( Yummy isn’t it ? baby mango pickle J).
- Get to eat lot of ice cream without catching cold (is it so?)
- Awesome smelling jasmine flowers .
- Mehendi with Freshly grinded henna leaves which soothes and gives cooling effect
- Last but not least ,My birthday falls on Summer :)
Yayy !! Summers are already here in Chennai, India. So much excited
to eat clean and pamper myself. Eat healthy, drink plenty of water. Enjoy Summer!!!
