L'Oreal Paris Smooth Intense Smoothing Conditioner - Silicone Free conditioner Review

Since the day I started reading the ingredients rather than going by the product claims to choose the right hair products ,I am always on the hunt for silicone-free ,sulfate-free ,paraben-free products . In this hunt I learnt that not many products are easily available in India especially in the budget friendly range .
Sooner , I somehow found this L'Oreal Paris Smoothing Conditioner which is very much budget friendly one and easily available in nearby stores .

Product description :

  • L'Oreal have harnessed the power of silk protein and Argan oil which is rich in essential fatty nutrients
  • Deep Nourishment : the creme formula nourishes and smoothes your hair from root to tip making it look more smooth and manageable .

Ingredients:

Price: Rs.185 for 175 ml (at the time of my purchase)

Texture : very much thick in consistency

Packaging: This comes in plastic bottle with flip cap as like other L'Oreal Paris variants .

Fragrance: It has a strong smell which is not tropical fruity but that wanes away with wash .

Why Silicone Free ?

Silicone causes product build up which requires harsh sulfates to clean the silicone , the usage of harsh sulfates can in turn damage and dry your hair further .So to avoid this cycle of dryness ,it is advised to go silicone and sulfate free .

I started using Silicone free products not just because of my Curly Hair method journey .I prefer Silicone free conditioners because it does not weigh down my hair .
Earlier when I was not particular and using silicone based ones , I felt that conditioners weighs down my hair greatly that I started skipping conditioners for that one reason and recently figured out that Silicone is the culprit !!

My take on this :

  • Now coming to review, this product is absolutely silicone and paraben free .
  • Also it has silk protein ,this also serves as a good protein treatment too.
  • Its very thick and dense and provides good conditioning .
  • It provides a decent slip to detangle .
  • I have had the most best hair days using this compared to other light conditioners so far. So it’s becoming my go-to product .
  • It was not much suitable for co-washing .(conditioner washing).I prefer light conditioners for co-washing
  • I sometimes use a very little of this as a leave in before applying curl creams or gels .
  • It has isopropyl Alcohol ,but that's only towards the end of ingredient list that would be less than 1% .I think it doesn't matter when we can get this conditioner easily rather than ordering online for high end ones and waiting for days .(after all its cheap though):P.
  • Precisely ,the silicone free ,budget friendly and most importantly easily available conditioner in India suitable for all hair types .
